Warrenpoint Port Authority approached us with a brief to update their current canteen space – a highly utilised building due to the multiple shifts of port staff each day. The existing space looked tired and dated and was needing a refresh that would make it more usable and efficient for the staff.
A more efficient layout design within the canteen allowed for an increase in the amount of tables and chairs and a range of low and high level seating options which utilised a range of colours helped to keep the space bright, open and clean.
The existing locker room was upgraded to include new steel lockers with increased storage and hanging space along with the addition of bench seating to accommodate more staff.
A drying room was created for all the wet weather gear to dry while staff were on their break. The original toilet facilities were refreshed and modified to create a changing area for workers and the shower facilities were also upgraded to include new solid core laminate cubicles.
