SafetyCare approached us with the need to update their first-floor office space to create a more modern and up-to-date working environment for their team. The original spaces had become outdated and required a refresh that would bring new life and make it function more effectively now and into the future as the company grew.
We approached the project looking at ways we could bring about the greatest change to the space with little disruption. We began with a simplistic design aesthetic that would make the space feel more open and modern. A simple monochrome colour palette was used to keep the space as bright as possible and allow the natural light to flow throughout the entire floor.
The main office area was opened up as much as possible into a large open-plan working environment that accommodates all staff. New desks including sit-stand options were installed to allow more flexibility when working along with new pedestals and seating. The boardroom and private meeting office feature a matt black framed partitioning system featuring bespoke manifestation that enables the natural light to fill all areas of the space. Central storage was added to the open plan office which creates a subtle divide between the desks and an easily accessible area for staff to store belongings and documents.
A brand-new teapoint was installed that flows into the open-plan space and allows staff more room for meals and can also be used as a space for collaboration or small meetings. Matt black units featuring oak worktops were used here to keep a consistent aesthetic, along with a bar area with stools and pendent lamps were staff can eat and connect. A bespoke flooring design was used to create a subtle separation between the open plan office and the tea point area, featuring oak flooring contrasting against the two-tone carpet design.
