The Brief

MCS Group are a rapidly growing professional recruitment consultancy based in Belfast and the company needed to find a new home in Belfast to help them achieve their growth aims whilst attracting and retaining the best employees.

Reception

A bespoke reception counter with angles that reflect the surrounding partitioning welcomes visitors to the space and sets the design standard which is retained throughout the workspace.

Breakout Area

The breakout area was carefully planned to make it as multi–functional as possible and a range of seating options from high back banquet sofas, standard café tables and chairs to a high curved bench and stools creates a stimulating environment to get away from the desk and to enjoy a break or an informal meeting with colleagues or visitors.

Tiered Seating

The ‘pièce de résistance’ within the breakout space is the three–tieredbirch ply bleacher seating which has been designed and fitted around a curved wall which encloses the rear staircase.This allows high density seating in the area which is used for town hall and client events within their own workspace.

Formal Meeting

The boardroom table is finished in handcrafted Walnut veneer while the media wall storage is a mixture of white gloss and walnut veneer, lifting the overall look and feel of the space.

Aesthetics

The space uses a muted palette of whites and greys which are brought into relief with the black glazed partitioning frames and pops of colour used in the furniture.Honeycomb fabric and Oak highlights on the furniture brings some warmth whilst tying in with the exposed brickwork to create a rustic yet homely feel.
