Forsa first approached us with a need to redesign their dated and inefficient third floor offices in Dublin. The space had become very underutilized and required a new layout to increase capacity and maximize the usability of the floor. With over 20 years of use, it was well worn and badly needed a fresh look and refurb.
From Early concept right through to final design, Forsa were blown away by how much we managed to fit in. We were keen to increase capacity, maximise natural light and include additional features beyond the client brief. They required at least 12 cellular manager offices, however, we comfortably designed 14, a meeting room, a new teapoint and additional breakout spaces. With lots of windows, we positioned the offices around the perimeter to ensure the natural light flowed throughout the floor.
On top of the client brief, a new teapoint space was created centrally within the floor plate to provide staff with an additional eating area. A variety of bar height tables and low benches were included to give staff greater flexibility and choice. With the inclusion of chilled and boiling water tap, coffee machine, integrated fridges and microwaves, the teapoint is given a sleek and modern look.
Soft seating areas were added to the space to provide staff with a comfortable place to break away from their office and collaborate with each other. Tub chairs and coffee tables were used in these areas to create a fully functional breakout space. Additional storage walls were also added here to create more storage for staff belongings and documents.
