for Mannok

PROJECT OVERVIEW
Following a shift to hybrid working, Mannok engaged Calibro to create a workspace that better supports their people, reflects their brand and attracts staff back to the office.
The project marked a move away from a restrictive layout towards a more open, efficient and future-ready workplace.
The scope included structural works and a reconfiguration of the floorplate to introduce new meeting rooms and private offices. Additional teapoints were incorporated to better support both staff and visiting clients, alongside the installation of new furniture throughout the space, resulting in a modern working environment designed to support collaboration, wellbeing and long-term growth.
BRAND INDENTITY
A central objective of the fitout was to ensure Mannok’s workplace authentically reflected their brand and values. This was achieved through a design language that subtly integrates brand cues without overwhelming the space.
Angled glass partitions and screens were introduced within the meeting rooms and private offices, referencing the distinctive “M” shape found within Mannok’s logo. These geometric elements add visual interest while reinforcing brand identity in a refined and architectural way.
Signage, material choices and spatial detailing were carefully selected to further embed the brand throughout, creating a cohesive environment that feels purposeful, professional and unmistakably Mannok.
EARNING THE COMMUTE
With Mannok operating on a hybrid working model, a key driver behind the refurbishment was creating a space that genuinely encourages people to come into the office.
Maximising natural light was central to this approach. By opening up the layout and introducing glazed partitions, light now penetrates deeper into the floorplate, creating a brighter, more inviting environment throughout the day.
The introduction of additional teapoints, informal breakout areas and well-considered meeting spaces provides employees with greater choice in how and where they work. These varied settings support collaboration, focus and social interaction, helping the office become a destination rather than an obligation.
By significantly increasing desk capacity without compromising comfort, the design supports flexible attendance patterns while ensuring the space works just as well on busier days.
MODERNISED WORKPLACE
The design delivers a fresh, contemporary workplace that supports Mannok’s people while reflecting their commitment to sustainability and quality.
The colour palette and material selection draw inspiration from the building’s unique setting near Lough Erne, blending natural tones and timber finishes with industrial elements such as concrete and steel.
Biophilic elements, including integrated planters, were introduced to soften the interior and enhance staff wellbeing, while improved layouts and furniture selection support comfort, movement and everyday usability.
Mannok’s refurbished office brings together brand, functionality and experience within a carefully reconfigured floor plate. The design improves capacity, maximises natural light and introduces a more flexible layout that better supports how teams use the space day to day.
The result is a light-filled, modern workplace that encourages staff back into the office and creates a more comfortable, engaging environment throughout the working day.
