PROJECT CASE STUDY
From Historic Building to Modern Workplace
Forsa, Limerick
- Project Size: 9’500 Sq ft
- Location: Limerick
- Activity: Design & CAT B Fitout, Furniture
- Duration: 8 weeks
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Following the successful redevelopment of this historic Limerick building into a contemporary CAT A office space, Calibro Workspace was delighted to continue our partnership with Forsa by delivering the interior fitout for their new regional office. Read about the redevelopment here.
Having worked with Forsa on a number of workplace projects over the years, we understood the importance of creating a workspace that aligned with their established identity while supporting the needs of their growing Limerick team.
THE BRIEF
The objective was to transform the newly completed building into a workplace that felt professional, welcoming and built for everyday use. The space needed to accommodate a variety of working styles, support collaboration and provide a consistent experience with Forsa’s wider office portfolio.
Alongside Forsa’s own workplace, the wider vision for the building included creating high-quality office accommodation that could be sub-let to additional tenants, maximising the potential of the redevelopment while attracting other organisations to the space.
DESIGN SPECIFICATION
The interior adopts a contemporary, understated aesthetic, combining natural finishes with subtle contrasts to create a refined yet comfortable working environment. Rather than relying on bold statements, the design focuses on timeless materials and a restrained palette that complements the character of the building while reflecting Forsa’s brand.
Across the workplace, carefully considered meeting spaces, breakout areas and shared amenities create a clear balance between focused work, collaboration and informal interaction.
Brand colours are introduced selectively throughout the space, helping to reinforce Forsa’s identity without overwhelming the overall design.
A spacious 40-person boardroom provides an impressive setting for larger meetings and presentations, while a range of smaller meeting rooms support day-to-day collaboration. Generous breakout spaces, alongside thoughtfully designed tea and coffee points, encourage employees to step away from their desks, connect with colleagues and recharge throughout the working day.
THE OUTCOME
The completed workplace successfully builds on the vision established during the redevelopment of the building, transforming a once-derelict warehouse into a modern workplace that supports Forsa’s long-term ambitions in Limerick.
By combining practical workplace planning with a timeless interior, the project delivers an environment that is professional, welcoming and designed to support employees for years to come.
