PROJECT OVERVIEW

As their Irish operations continued to grow, a global technology company expanded its presence at its Dublin headquarters.

Having already established a strong footprint within the building, the business was entering a new phase, with headcount set to exceed 400 employees.

The expansion into the ground floor provided an opportunity to create additional space that could better support a growing team, while maintaining a consistent experience across their wider workplace environment.

The brief was to deliver a high-quality, fully integrated workspace that aligned with their global design standards, while supporting the day-to-day needs of a growing workforce.

The space was designed to integrate seamlessly with existing floors, creating a cohesive and scalable environment as the business continues to grow.

TRANSLATING A GLOBAL DESIGN VISION LOCALLY

A central aspect of the project was ensuring the workspace reflected the company’s global design standards.

The overall design direction was set by a project team based in the US, with Calibro developing the design for the additional floor in line with this. The design was carefully adapted to suit the new floorplate, while maintaining consistency with the wider workplace.

Balancing global design intent with local regulations and practical requirements was key, ensuring the final space remained true to the brand aesthetic while functioning effectively for the Dublin team.

DELIVERING AT PACE

Speed was a critical factor in the success of this project. From initial engagement, the design was developed, coordinated with global stakeholders and contractors appointed within a six-week period, enabling mobilisation on site shortly after.

Careful management of lead times during the specification phase was key, ensuring materials and furniture selections aligned with the programme from the outset.

The project was then delivered over a 10-week construction programme, with momentum maintained across design, coordination and delivery to ensure a smooth and efficient process.

EMBEDDING BRAND THROUGH DESIGN

The workspace reflects the client’s brand through a clean and consistent design language.

A predominantly black colour palette, combined with carefully considered finishes and detailing, reinforces the company’s global identity.

The overall approach remains minimal and refined, aligning with the brand’s digital-first aesthetic while creating a cohesive physical environment.

FUNCTIONAL AND FLEXIBLE WORKPLACE

The layout has been designed to support a range of working styles across the team.

The space accommodates 70 desks, alongside seven meeting rooms, phone pods and a breakout area, with a dedicated welcome zone, creating a strong first impression on arrival.

Together, these elements provide a balance between focused work and collaboration, giving teams flexibility in how they use the space throughout the day.

This project represents a seamless extension of the client’s existing presence in Dublin, delivering a high-quality workspace that supports both immediate growth and long-term needs.
